ADOLESCENTS WORSHIPPING OUR LORD (AdWOL)
We are ADWOL, a group of adolescents who convene every Sunday morning in the Orleans United Church Lounge during the service. Students in grades 9-12 are welcome to attend a jovial atmosphere in which the order of the day consists of exploring the day to day troubles of teenage life amongst concerned and understanding peers. Of course, *tidbits* and other tantalizing snacks are provided to disperse that mental fatigue, lingering from an evening of sleep deprivation!
Some of the objectives of ADWOL are as follows:
-
To contribute to the nature of church services through occasional performances
-
To enrich pastoral/student relations (Molly 'the Rev' Bell and Rev. Dr. Glen frequent meetings with cool opportunities, ideas, and more)
-
To discuss what precisely it means to be a Christian in what can sometimes appear to be a world of callous apathy
-
To provide a collective pillar of support for those tough times (believe it or not, other people exist who detest trigonometry with the same fervour as you do: who knows, you might even see someone from school there!)
-
To get away from parents, siblings, and friends on fantastic retreats and phenomenal activities
-
To have a complete blast!
We look forward to your visit.
