Purpose
In response to the words of Jesus Christ, the Pastoral Care Team has accepted a call of Christian caring and love to minister to those in need and to celebrate with those who rejoice.  With the help and guidance of the Holy Spirit, the members have made a commitment to respond to this call whenever it may come.
Congregational Structure
The Pastoral Care Team is a sub-committee of the Elders Committee, currently accountable to clergy and Council. The team reports to Council only when requested to do so (perhaps once a year).
Coordinators are appointed by the clergy and team members are approved by the clergy.
Contacts are delegated by the coordinator(s) at the request of or in consultation with the clergy.  Any team member may initiate or accept a request for care.
All activities of the Pastoral Care Team will be conducted in accordance with current provincial legislation, particularly as related to ethics in pastoral relationships.
