The Reverend Dr. Glen Stoudt
Worship and Congregational Care Minister

Glen was born and raised in easter Pennsylvania in the Moravian Church, a small, mainline protestant denomination with a 550 year history. He graduated from Moravian College and Theologial Seminary (B.A., '73 and M.Div., '77) in Bethlehem, PA, and served Moravian congregations in Philadelphia, PA (1977-'80) and Calgary, AB (1980-'94).
When his family moved to Ottawa in 1994, Glen began the process of affiliating with the United Church of Canada and started attending Orleans United. He served a 6-month interim ministry at Kirkhill United in the Seaway Valley from March to August, 1995, when he was appointed full-time ministry at Trinity United in west Ottawa, where he served until June, 2004.
From '93 to '96 Glen earned his D.Min. from McCormick (Presbyterian) Theological Seminary in Chicago, and from '96 to '98 he attended Queens Theological College studying United Church history, theology, liturgics, polity and Christian education. He was formally received into the United Church of Canada in May, 1998.
In September 2004, Glen began teaching Pastoral Theology and Practice of Ministry at Moravian Theological Seminary, his alma mater, during which he served as Volunteer Associate Minister at OUC. He has been a full-time professor in Pennsylvania until joining Rev Molly Bell as equal partners in the ministry team here in February, 2010.
Glen has recently returned to his family home in Orleans where he now happily lives again with his wife, Lynn. They have two daughters, Kate and Meg. Kate is a teacher here in Ottawa and Meg is just beginning her public relations career in Toronto.
Glen says, "I feel blessed beyond words to resume my relationship with Orleans United and to begin this new chapter in my ministry together. God is smiling on us!"
