Orleans United is blessed with an exciting and vibrant Sunday school program and it serves our children through:

• group time music and song 
• regular class lessons and activities
• group activities
• mentoring
• participation in inter-generational church services
• opportunities for children to contribute as helpers in classrooms

This program is offered each week at our 10 am service for children aged 3 years to Grade 6.

Over 100 enthusiastic children are registered in this year's Sunday School. We have the strong support of a number of dedicated volunteers, Sunday School teachers and a wonderful coordinator. Several spare teachers and parents have also offered their services throughout the year.

Our children's time is enriched with the musical talents of some special volunteers who accompany our children's time with piano, guitar and drumming. 

Rock Solid: Building a Heart of Faith, is our new Sunday school curriculum and it is a comprehensive three-year program designed for preschoolers to 12 year olds, with sessions tailored for each age level. It is a bible story based curriculum and each week the children encounter a Bible story presented in a colourful, engaging manner, in a way that helps them understand scripture.  The outline follows the church year, from September to June, so that the children experience stories from Christmas, Holy Week, Easter and Pentecost etc.

During the summer months a multi-age curriculum is in place to help provide our summer volunteers with some teaching support and structure. This curriculum is called One Room Sunday School and we invite families to come out and experience group Sunday school in the church hall during the summer months.

Some highlights of our year include the annual Christmas Pageant about the birth of Jesus with children of all ages participating. We also host an ice cream social in June called Sundae Sunday and children young and old enjoy creating ice cream sundaes at our buffet table after the church service. Everyone in the Sunday school program also looks forward to our Welcome Back BBQ held in early September.
